I have a question: Why would ANYONE mention J.K. Rowling on the cover of ANY of E. Goudge's books, as on, of all books she wrote, For God So Loved The World!!!

Having read most of her books, including this one, I have NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER that she would not have approved of such blatantly hellish trash which  blasphemes Jesus and the biblical worldview which Goudge embraced.  In context, I discovered Goudge through  one of her  quotes in Ruth Bell Graham's book ( wife of Billy Graham) Anyone would know Ruth Bell Graham's stand against Rowling's demonic  "dictated" works..

Mrs. Mona Leaton

Dear Mrs Leaton,

I am sorry that this gives you distress.

Elizabeth was a religiously tolerant person, secure in her own faith and I don't believe she would be upset by being mentioned as J. K.'s favourite children's author.

Perhaps it will encourage the children who do read her work to explore the work of Elizabeth Goudge. This at least is what I hope will happen. There is a new generation growing up who have so many avenues of literature to explore, that they would have missed her altogether.

It has also been responsible for a resurgence of her novels and the re-issuing of some that have been out of print for many years.

yours Deborah
